Stop buggering about with tiny diamond sharpeners and buy one which is big enough to actually use. This block is 150mm x 50mm x 50mm, plus the size of the bench block/holder. It has four grits, 200, 300, 400 & 600, each colour coded, one each side of the block. The designers seem to have actually used the product (nice for a change!), because it has non slip feet. Can be used dry, but a little water will extend the life.
